Law Enforcement Training Research Center (GEAR) was established on October 21st, 2009 under the Turkish National Police Academy Research Centers in order to conduct researh on law enforcement training. GEAR proposed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality of training and education by carrying out scientific and academic activities not only in the TNP but also all other security oriented entities.

The mission of Law Enforcement Training Research Center is;

• To conduct research on law enforcement to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of law enforcement services,

• To contribute to the education of law enforcers considering dynamic changes in the national and international area,

• To carry out scientific and academic activities and research in order to create law enforcers who are respectful to the human right instruments, have ethical values, and equipped with professional standards,

• To specify updated educational needs for the law enforces by examining the education systems of the democratic and developed countries.

To contribute to the education and development of law enforcers; who think strategically but act democratic and professional; and whose ultimate purposes are to assist and serve citizens.
